LVP's Mission

WHAT is LVP?

The Lehigh Valley Professionals (LVP) is a forum and support group where Lehigh Valley professionals network with each other to exchange information on job searching techniques and tools, local firms, and job/career leads and business contacts.

WHY does LVP exist?

The Lehigh Valley Professionals (LVP) is a forum for marketing, networking, and sharing resources, time, and talent to promote the employment and career development of job-seeking professionals in the Lehigh Valley.

HOW does LVP work?

Professionals seeking employment can attend one of our general meetings (held each Friday from 10 AM to noon), at which time they can submit their application, accompanied by a resumé. In addition, the applicant must attend a New member Orientation (held every other week after the LVP meeting), and they must attend one PA CareerLink® Lehigh Valley, Introduction to Services Session.

When all requirements are met, the new member will receive a Member ID and password to access the members' section of the www.lvprofessionals.org website, where users have access to job search tools, peer network contacts and the LVP Communicator newsletter.

Members are expected to participate actively:

  • Network and generously share job leads and contacts with each other.
  • Promote LVP as the first source of professionals to fill permanent and contract positions in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding area.
  • Assist each other in the development and/or enhancement of job searching skills including networking, researching opportunities, written correspondence with employers, resumé writing and interviewing.
  • Invite companies, recruiters and others to address the group on topics of interest.

WHERE does LVP meet?

The Lehigh Valley Professionals meets at the PA CareerLink Lehigh Valley, located at 1601 Union Boulevard, Allentown, PA.

WHEN does LVP meet?

The Lehigh Valley Professionals (LVP) meet every Friday from 10:00 AM to noon.

WHO should join LVP?

Professionals from the greater Lehigh Valley who are seeking new jobs/careers are welcome to become part of our group.
